Quantum computing is moving from research towards commercial application. Through IonQ’s platform, Archer is building the capability to help Australian organisations identify, test and develop solutions to complex problems where quantum computing could offer new approaches.
Current work includes Archer’s Quantum Machine Learning (QML) fraud detection program. Access to IonQ's technology enables Archer to advance this program and develop further applications with partners and prospective customers.

Under the agreement, Archer has access to the IonQ Quantum Cloud, including IonQ’s Forte-class system and, once available, Tempo-class or subsequent systems, as well as IonQ’s quantum simulator and specialist engineering expertise.
Archer and IonQ are assessing the future deployment of an IonQ quantum computer in Australia, including data centre suitability, infrastructure and potential partners.
A sovereign capability could give Australian organisations access to advanced quantum computing where data sovereignty and security are important, while building the local skills and ecosystem to support quantum computing as a utility service in Australia

You don’t need to be a quantum expert to get started. Archer can work with your organisation to explore whether a complex commercial or operational problem could be evaluated using quantum computing alongside existing classical approaches.
