Dr. Simon Ruffell is the Chief Executive Officer of Archer, a quantum technology company developing next-generation technologies in quantum computing, sensing, and medical diagnostics. He brings more than 12 years of experience across the semiconductor and advanced technology sectors. Prior to joining Archer, Simon held leadership roles including Principal Hardware Engineering Manager at Microsoft, Senior Manager at Applied Materials, and Semiconductor and Quantum Engagement Manager at the University of Sydney, where he supported collaboration between industry and quantum research initiatives. Simon holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Western Ontario and a Master’s degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Surrey, UK.
